Can't open downloaded game to play on Xbox 360

Did you upgrade your Xbox 360 hard drive? If you bought a drive from a third party it's likely a fake hard drive.

To play original Xbox games on a 360 you need an official hard drive. They won't work work with cheaper knock off HDD's or consoles with only external storage attached.

This is because the emulation software for BC on the Xbox 360 can only be found on an official MS hard drive. No other drives will work with BC whether the game is a digital download purchase or an original disc.

I'm sorry you are still having issues.

Typically this issue occurs either because:

1. The hard drive is not an offical Microsoft hard drive.

2. Your internal drive has a fault.

3. You are attempting to run an original Xbox from an external hard drive/flash drive with no internal hard drive.

If you bought your console second hand, it may not have an official hard drive. Non MS drives will generally work with all 360 games, but won't work with original Xbox games.

Either try your game with another hard drive or a different Xbox 360.

Those are the only troubleshooting steps.

Have you changed your gamertag recently? if so, another step to fix backward compatility issue is redownload your profile in the Xbox 360 emulator
