Can’t mute party in chat mixer ? Randomly stopped working...

I have the x box brand headset and adapter. One day I muted myself and for some reason i couldnt unmute myself. This is where everything started. So i went through a bunch of trouble shooting steps, restarted my x box and now i can mute and unmute myself,
but i cant mute the party. I can manually go to the party and select mute, but for some reason it doesnt work through the chat mixer anymore ?? When i slide all the way over to game volume, i can still hear everybody talking super loud. Now the weird part
is when i slide to chat, it mutes the game like its supposed to ?!? Anybody else have this problem ?

I know its not the headset or controller, i actually ended up buying a new controller and headset hoping that was going to fix it. Not my internet either as i have tried to play at friends house with same problems. When i connect my headset and controller
to their consoles it works perfect, when they use their controllers and headsets on my x box it glitches for them as well.

BTW I just did a full factory reset and still having this issue.

Is their no type of mixer built in? .. Is this not something simple to impalement. in a System update ?? chat is unusable in game due to game audio overruling chat audio . plz fix this Xbox then I can chat with my mobile headphones till new headset gets
here.

 

Astro a40 chat not workinf

hello i have Astro a40s for Xbox one bought them locally of my friend they don’t have mix amp just piece that connects in controller and they were always working fine then today the chat stopped working for no reason and nobody can hear me but i hear them
.. i used my other headset and the chat worked.. my astros are not on mute and wires are all connected nicely anybody know a fix to this? I can’t seem to find any

have you updated your controller with your mic in as suggested to have them both configured to each other?

Yes i have, still no luck. I already contacted microsoft support and this was their last solution. They said they havent heard of this issue. I did some research and there was quite a few reddit posts where people were having the same problem. None of
them have solutions though. Some posts started as early as Jan 18...

Thanks for reaching out to us and keeping us updated! It seems the problem is the party is unable to be muted through chat mixer but it can be muted through the party itself, correct? Try the following:Xbox
one mic not working and let us know how it goes! Also, try checking the settings on the console itself

Press the Xbox Button > System > Settings > Display & Sound > Volume
