Cant Move ARK: Survival Evolved to another drive.

ARK needs an update but the drive it is on is too small to support the update. I cannot delete or move anything else from this drive.

When I go to the storage settings and try to move it, the move button is greyed out.

I need a way to safely move ARK from one drive to another without removing any of the local app data as it hosts a server that my friends and I have many hours in.

I understand your problem with ARK

There is a “Move” option, but it is greyed out. This is because some applications on Windows 10 are fixedly installed on the C drive and cannot be moved. And you also need to note that Apps and features can only move programs downloaded from the Microsoft Store, and cannot move programs downloaded from other addresses. Just as the user says, the C drive is not enough and wants to release the space of the C drive, but there are many restrictions on using the built-in functions of Windows

has a Microsoft user i only can recommend you to use one third party program to move all the game to the C disk

Oddly enough, ARK is installed on my D drive. This was not something I manually did.

Is there any way to move it at all?

Ark Survival Evolved is a full game, and Ark Extinction is an add-on. Your title and description are contrary to each other and so I'm confused.

If you purchased Ark Survival Evolved then you should be just able to play it. However, if you purchased Ark Extinction then you must also purchase Ark
Survival Evolved.
