Can't log onto my XBox 1X due to MS account being reset...

Bought a used XBox 1X and had to do a reset to factory settings. After using the XBox for a few weeks, it started asking for a password before I could log in... Must have messed up putting in my password and got locked out of the XBox until I got my MS account verified... Now it says I have to wait 30 days until I can attempt to use the XBox again... I was going to try to do a hard reset to factory settings again, but was informed that I still would have to log into my MS account to get back into the XBox. I tried everything to contact MS in order to get back into the XBox to no avail. Is this normal with MS with regard to a waiting period of 30 days in order to being able to use my XBox? Seems like there should be another way to verify my account faster in order to use it....

Hello again, when the 30 days of quarantine are over, you will be able to access your account normally, by warranty I always recommend that you add more than one security information, it can be a phone number and another email.

First, thank you for the reply to my question. I'm not sure though that I understand what you are saying. Like I said, I probably messed up entering my MS password and was prompted to go to my MS account and change it. After doing so, I was asked to verify that I was the owner of the account in order to get verified. Once I answered all the security questions concerning my MS account, I was verified. Than I was told that due to security procedures, my access to my XBox would be restricted for 30 days (Feb. 2). I'm hoping that on Feb 2nd I will be able to log back into my XBox without any further problems. I then plan to change the security settings on it to allow me to log on without being asked for a password. I really don't want to go through this again and have to wait another 30 days to use the XBox.

Hello Bruce, by your description it seems that you did not have the security number or changed it to be able to receive and confirm the code that the system sends to you, in this case if you try to enter and added a new number it automatically quarantines for 30 days.

Strange thing is my friend can log on her account from the same xbox. But I can't log onto mine.

It's weird actually. I didn't receive a phone call or "official" email about the issue, but I did indeed receive an email. It was from Windows Live Team and was simply a sub email account confirmation for the email I disclosed to the rep over a week ago.
I tried logging onto my account from the site but my password wouldn't work. I then log onto my Xbox and my Live is fully restored and my MS points balance was back to normal. So basically, when the investigation is over, you won't be able to log into your
account from xbox.com (just reset your password) and the "suspended due to problem with payment option" will be removed. They will also add however long the investigation took to your account expiration time (mine change from 1/16/12 to 1/24/12, making up
for the 8 day investigation).
