Can't log into my Microsoft account using alternate email

According to Microsoft when you remove an alias it cannot be re-added, added to another account, or recycled. I recommend creating a new alias and adding your account.

@Judge, the issue is he can't even access his account because Microsoft locked it since we tried to log in using a different PC.

Also, we do know the email associated with his account. We just don't recognize the alternate for the password reset.

Aren't these the alternative email address you used to setup your Microsoft account? Can't you receive the security code on these emails?

um ok how about this for support being able to add my email address as a contact for Security proof without getting this error (and create another email address is not support) ?

You can't use your Microsoft account name as your alternate email address. Please enter a different alternate email address.

Hi there RadRain51991! To get this sorted, you'll have to work with us as this usually means that you've accidentally created another account on the same Microsoft Account email. To be sure, can I have you log in (with this RadRain account) to accounts.live.com
and to confirm the account email is the same as your MrOptimistic account.



If it is the same, you'll have to change the Microsoft Account email to an alternate email. Once that is done your MrOptimistic account should appear when you log in both on your console and on Xbox.com! Let us know how it goes.
