    First, MultiMC says my account has expired and that I need to manually log in again. So attempt that..

    Then I get this error: "Failed to get Minecraft Access token: Error transferring https://api.minecraftservices.com/launcher/login - server replied: Too Many Requests."

    So I try again a few minutes later and see: "Failed to get Minecraft Access token: Error transferring https://api.minecraftservices.com/launcher/login - server replied: Service Unavailable."

    I found that other people are having similar experiences. Why is Microsoft locking people out of their paid accounts suddenly? What do I need to do to get access to my account again?

    The "proper" launcher is inadequate. There is a reason I chose to use a third party launcher. It is better. Period.

    Still getting the "too many requests" error. I'll leave it alone for 12+ hours and see if it works then. Thanks for the tip.

    Change your update channel under Settings->Launcher to Development. Then click in the launcher on Update. This updates your MultiMC to the latest develop build.

    After the update completed you can log in again.

    This worked for me.

    use the proper launcher and stop risking your account with third party launchers for a start, Microsoft aint locking you out if you use the correct software. also updates to the servers can alter the api and therefore the third-party launchers would need to update their code.

    The official minecraft launcher doesn't have features that MultiMC has and they say if you have any problems with MultiMC contact someone from microsoft support (If logging in via microsoft).

    I've been using official launcher for some time, but my friend recommended me MultiMC so I'm trying to switch.
