Can’t load Rocket League while online. Xbox One Error message

I bought Rocket League Ultimate Edition for my kids. It took forever to get the game installed and took a couple complete resets, clearing local saved games, etc. Right now the game can only be played from the disc while the Xbox is OFFLINE. When we go online and try to load the game we get error message; “You need this update, but we can’t get it right now. Try again in a while. (0x8b050033)”

We’ve tried uninstalling, reinstalling, restarting, reset the unit completely. Can someone help me to figure this out?

You may need to check this link for the error code that you're getting. This seems to be a known issue on Microsoft's end and this link also include a workaround to fix it:

Hello I tried this and it still isn’t working, I can’t load fortnite either I get the error code 0x87e10bef.

All mine load fine just keep getting connection errors but no codes just says cant connect, single player games are fine apart from rocket league that works fine offline and online for unknown reasons

Hi!

It's the original version of xbox one, 500go I think, bought it in a pack with fifa 16.

In french the message is "synchronisation des données pour Rocket League...", something like "synchronization of datas for Rocket League..." (or any other game).

Now this problem stopped though but sometimes I still can't connect to xbox live and play the games I bought online.
