Can't link my old Activision account to xbox app on pc

Sorry to hear you're having trouble linking accounts. Are you trying to link your Activision account to your Xbox/Microsoft account on the Activision website? Did you already try using a different browser?

How about trying it in-game? Launch your BO6 or Warzone, make sure that you're currently signed in to the Xbox app using the new Microsoft account. When it loads, it will ask you to sign in your Activision account and you can link it from there.

I want to link my Activision account Xbox account, and it is actually already linked,, but the email is a old email that was hacked from over 10 years ago, the recovery email is some random email I never have seen before. I want to change it, I have full access to my Xbox account and the email of the Xbox account, but I don’t have the activision Email that is linked to my Xbox account, so right now it’s forever linked with no way to change, which is crazy, I have full access of my Xbox account no I can’t change it? Their has to be a way, i tried activision with support tickets and that didn’t work, and I don’t know how to ask for help on Microsoft’s end.

Only Activision would be able to help with this since the linking/unlinking process occurrs on their end so Microsoft wouldn't be able to help with this at all.

When you unlink your Xbox account from your old Activision account, your game progress, purchases, and challenges stay tied to that original Activision account. Linking your Xbox account to a new Activision account will not transfer any progress or purchases; it will start fresh.

Activision keeps all game data linked to the Activision account, not the Xbox account. So unlinking and relinking won’t move your progress.

I recommend trying to recover access to your old Activision account or using their recovery options if possible.

I'm on PC and i was not getting any errors....

I got it by now, the problem was that Forza ignores the account used in the microsoft store...

I had to remove the account linked to my win 10, then i had to relog in the xbox-app form the old to the new account and then relog in the store from the old to the new account...

Before connecting to your companion app for COD, have you linked your MS account to Activision (https://s.activision.com/activision/login)

After that, you may be able to sign in with your Xbox account on the COD companion app.
