Can’t leave Microsoft family group

Yea i have the same question. I am using a child account becouse my family put in the wrong date and im the only one in the family now. Can someone help?

I’m having the same issue where I can’t leave. I can’t change my Xbox settings or even access the page on search browsers because it says I’m in a family group yet I didn’t join one and no-one is added to mine. My age on my account is correctly 21, but it still forces the family group restrictions with no way to stop them. I can’t even look at my Xbox profile anymore!

Hello again, in order for your daughter to join the same family group as your son and wife, she must first leave the family group she is in.

If your account is part of a family group, that means that you've likely created your account through an adult account. You should be able to leave the family group if you are over 18 years old, and your Microsoft account is configured correctly at https://account.microsoft.com/profile. If your birth year is set to 2003 or before, try to leave the family group by following these steps:

1. Go to https://family.microsoft.com/.

2. Sign in with your Microsoft account.

3. Find your name, select Leave family group, and confirm.

If you’re on an adult account (at least 18, or 19 in South Korea), then you can leave the Microsoft Family anytime. Otherwise, if you’re on a child account, a parent/guardian (organiser) would have to remove you.

Note that Family groups without an organiser and at least one other family member will be deleted, so this theoretically should automatically be the result if you’re the only one in the group.
