Can't launch MSFS for the life of me

Sorry, I'm really confused about the Xbox app. Is it a program that needs to be installed on my computer? I see these instructions: Search for Xbox app and install.

1. . To install Xbox app, follow the steps below:
   
   • Open Microsoft store
     
   • Search for Xbox app and install.
     
   • Wait for the app to completely install.
     

When I go to the Microsoft store & search for the Xbox app then click on " Get in store app" a box pops up with an "open" tab. When I click on the open tab, it looks like I'm signed in . I don't see any download link for the app.

I'm also confused about whether successfully downloading & installing the Xbox app will solve the problem of signing into Xbox to play MSFS. Is it likely that need to uninstall & reinstall my Steam version of MSFS to fix this problem?

Also, the Xbox game bar seems to be the only thing for Xbox on my computer. I don't see any Xbox app.

I just wanted to let you guys know that I found a solution to my Xbox sign in problem that seems to have worked. I found this advice on Steam's Flight Simulator Help page:

" "when at the screen , hold ALT and press ENTER , MSFS will go out of fullscreen mode and then Xbox signin button is pressable… , repeat alt+enter to go back to full screen mode. it’s now 1 year later and this bug still not fixed , how sad !!! i just recieved my 4th heart , this means this bug is st…" "

In my case , the screen stayed in full screen, but a window to sign into my Microsoft account replaced the Xbox sign in window & I successfully logged into my Microsoft account & MSFS finished loading. Now when I start MSFS, I'm already signed in. Before this, even though I was already logged into my Microsoft account, I couldn't get past the Xbox sign in .

Anyway, I just thought I'd let you guys know about this solution & say thanks for your support.
