    Hello, I have found the "solution" but I feel like I'm missing something

    The solution is as follows:

    Players are seeing error 0x8b05003 while trying to play or install games from disc on Xbox Series X consoles.

    • This is being investigated by our engineering teams and a fix is on the way, but our support teams have found a workaround:
      • Open the Xbox app on phone or PC and sign in
      • Search for the game that cannot be installed
      • Press Download to console and select the destination console
    Once the game has installed on that console, the disc can be inserted to play

    However, I can't find GTA on the Xbox App on PC. I can find it on Mobile, but it says "Launch on Console" not download to console... so then up pops the same error?

    Am I missing something here?

    Hello, My name is Jesse. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

    Delete the game from your console complete. Then I'll recommend you do a power cycle to clear the system cache

    - Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

    - Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 2 minutes.

    - Plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on

    Afterwards try to install it from the app again.

    Hello, I came back here to post that I had gotten it to work - and the solution was almost exactly as you recommended. Uninstall the game first, the do it again.

    Only "catch" was that it automatically installed to my external, so when I tried to launch it then came up "Must be transferred to internal."
