Can't launch games through xbox app

    Can't launch games through xbox app


    hello. I'm a new gamepass customer and cannot launch games I download through gamepass via my xbox app.

    I press play and absolutely nothing happens. when I open my task manager said game is not running anywhere in the background.

    I've been troubleshooting for 2 days now. My graphix card drivers have been uninstalled, reinstalled and updated. the xbox app has been uninstalled reinstalled. the games I'm trying to launch same deal. windows has been updated, direct x has been updated. and its worth mentioning that all of my other games run just fine. it's only when I try to run a game through xbox that I have a problem and unfortunately since these games are "purchased" through gamepass they can't be run any other way. It's also worth mentioning that I've tried solving this issue through xbox support which just get's stuck in a loading loop perpetually... I really have no idea what else to try, please help. Thank you.

    1 - Type cmd (Command Prompt) in the search bar of the Start menu and then click Run as administrator.

    2 - Enter chkdsk /f/x/r/v

    Being in use the system will ask if the user wants to check the chosen drive after reboot. Just type S and restart the computer.

    I have the same issue, I've just purchased through Xbox app on pc, when I launch the game I can't find it anywhere and in game marketplace is asking me to purchase it.

    Halo Infinite Cannot Launch

    A solution that worked for me is downloading the game through Steam, and the Xbox App. Then launching the game through Steam to verify it launches and closing then closing the game. After that I launched the game through the Xbox app, it worked just fine after that. I have no idea why this worked for me, but it did. A small solution hopefully that works for you and others too.

    1. Launch Xbox app on your phone and search for the game.
