Cant join or invite 2 player Coop. "there was a problem joining game"

My buddy and I have played together before. weve played other games together before. Both our NATs are open and we are able to switch to other games and play with no issue. For the last 24 hours we cant seem to connect to one and other in diablo 3. everytime
one invites the other all we get is a "there was an error joining the game" window. weve contacted microsoft who told us to contact blizzard. Blizzard apparently has a 9 hour wait for customer service (which makes one assume this sint an isolated issue) and
all self help tips point us back to seeking help at MS. wtf... we just wanna play together. Help!

Thats odd, option is there on PS4 you have and I dont remember the exact verbage but Option 1 "Anyone" 2 "Friends Only" 3 "Invite Only" 4 "Closed" That not the 4 options for you in there? Anyone makes it public if you have that option it allows someone to right click your name and join fireteam without an invite and the invite option allows you to invite anyone even if they arent on your friends list but with that option friends need invites as well they cant just join you I set it to anyone so I can invite randoms or they can join me or friends can join me.

My friend and I had the same issue. We both booted down our Xbox's and took the disk out. Rebooted and put it back in and it worked. It has happened 3 times now and each time this worked. He researched it, and discovered that is has something to do with
how long the game has been running in your console. I have no idea what the actual issue is tho.

My son and his 2 friends are trying to play Minecraft together by joining the same world. My son is hosting on his android-device, and have sent a invitation to each of his friends.

We have tried the following:

Case 1: "Friend 1" gets the invite, and joins the game. "Friend 2" gets the invite, at tries to join the game, but gets a time-out.

Case 2: "Friend 2" gets the invite, and joins the game. "Friend 1" gets the invite, at tries to join the game, but gets a time-out.

Case 3: "Friend 1" creates a game, and "Friend 2" joins and can play. My son tries to join but gets a time-out.

The maximum player-limit is 10, and they are 3 players in total.

What can be the problem, when both of his friends can join individually to my sons game, but when they try to join the same game one of them gets a time-out?

Yes, Coop Is supported through game pass except inviting your friends is a bit different then on Epic.

Use the windows key+ g to bring up the game bar, then select the friend you would like to join with and send them an invite.

Make sure you are hosting a coop game or coop compatible save.

You need to go to the main menu, select campaign, then select coop, and from there you will find the option to invite or join a friends game.
