Can't join online game for Minecraft Dungeons

Hello! Thank you for your reply. We both have restarted and unplugged our consoles. We restarted the router as well. Our NAT type is set to Open. We also Uninstalled the game and re installed it. We also tried going to offline mode, restarting then going to online. I feel like we've tried everything at this point.

Please restart your router and console. Turn off your Xbox and unplug all the cables connected to it. Leave it for 2 minutes and plug everything back in. Turn on your Xbox. With your router, please turn it off and then turn it back on.

And then check your NAT type because if your NAT type is set to "Strict" or "Moderate," it is preventing you from connecting to other players. G

Go to settings> network> network settings> test multiplayer connection.

Next is to update Minecraft Dungeons. Make sure that both you and your fiancé are running the latest version of the game.

Then do offline mode first, restart the game, and then switching back to online mode.

If the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, kindly uninstall and then reinstall Minecraft Dungeons in order for the corrupted files will be deleted. Make sure to back up everything first before uninstalling the game.

it only happens on minecraft, he can play online on other games, and he can play online on minecraft but only when people join him, he can't join others

When you launch Minecraft Dungeons for the first time, you are prompted to log in to a Microsoft Account. This can also be done from the game's settings menu, by selecting "Configure Online Play"

For playing Online Co-Op in Minecraft Dungeons, you may try the steps below:

1. From the campfire screen, select the ‘Online Game’ option by pressing A.

2. You’ll now be given a list of any available games that you can join. Any sessions you’ve been invited to, or that are available to join will appear under ‘Game Sessions.’

3. If you’re inviting a friend, simply select them from your friends list and you’ll then be able to invite them.

4. Once they’ve joined your game, simply press the ‘Start Online Game’ button at the top of this menu to begin playing Minecraft Dungeons in co-op multiplayer.
