    Can’t join my friend on Xbox ever since we both went to college.


    I’m unable to join my friend and he’s unable to join me on any strictly Xbox game. We can both join each other on cross-play games however. This has only been the case since we both left for college. I’m thinking it may have something to do with the connections and privacy of our college internets, but I’m not sure. We can’t play games like Call of Duty Black Ops 3 or any other old gen, non-crossplay games. However, we can play games like Rainbow Six Siege and Brawlhalla, which are cross-play. We both have Xbox Ones by the way. This was never an issue before, and I was hoping I could get some help as to how to resolve this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Why does Microsoft only allow Xbox players to play multiplayer, aka with friends, if they’re on the Xbox live subscription? Isn’t that dumb?

    Nope. Just about 1 month ago, we both had original xboxes that were plugged directly into our routers. But recently, i had bought the Gears 3 Special Edition xbox and he bought the 250GB Slim. Ever since we both went wireless, we have had this problem.
