    Can't join multiple-player minecraft games with friends. Server tab is empty.


    Okay, I am thoroughly frustrated at this point. We can plan local-multiplayer games no problem, but can't play online at all. We can start games and invite friends but they can't join. We can see friends playing online, but when we try to join via an invite (tho we do see the inviteds) or via their profiles, we get an error message about permissions. Also, our server tab (when we hit play from the Minecraft start screen) says 6 (like there are 6 servers maybe?) but when we go to the tab it's empty (not sure if this means anything but my kids friend was trying to help us and thought this was a bad sign).

    I've spent a lot of time trying to fix the issue to no avail! Here's what I've tried:

    1. Confirmed that my xbox.com privacy settings allow for multiplayer gaming per the same link. Everything is essentially set to be open/allowed.
    2. Conformed that the privacy settings on my xbox are similarly open - they are set to adult defaults.
    3. Set up a second gamertag (figuring there was some permanent misconfiguration with my first).
    4. Restarted Minecraft many times.
    5. Restarted my Xbox many times.
    6. Deleted Minecraft and reinstalled it.
    7. Factory reset my Xbox (deleted all apps and data) and reinstalled everything.
    8. Checked my network:
      1. Checked my NAT type and confirmed it is "Open" per this link
      2. Checked my multiplayer connection - "It's all good."
      3. Checked my network speed (100 Mbps down, 15 up)
    9. Banged my head into the wall.
    Apparently these are all things that could be issues but are not my issue. Not sure what else to try. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Is there like a human being at Microsoft or Minecraft that can talk you through things? My kids are going crazy. I fear for my safety.

    Creating matches

    Go to the server browser on bf3 and look at the history tab,it shows the servers you have already played in, go to the last page of servers and there should be completely empty servers, then join one and invite friends you need to have 8 of you to start.
    you can't change any settings but at least you can get some friends together in a match and mess around a bit

    Are the Minecraft Xbox 360 Mini Game servers still functional?

    Update: Microsoft's Minecraft support team didn't help much. To test this out, my and my friend set up a public mini game server, with my friend making a public Battle server. I joined from the "Join" tab, and it came up with the annoying "The connection to the server was lost. Exiting to main menu" error. My friend then disabled the option "Public Game." Then, if you join from the "Friends" tab it works just fine,

    Ok.. you seem legit... so I am willing to give you some tips.





    1. Use the Server Browser when you have your party (*squad) of 4 players ready to go.
    2. Find a game with 18 or below player count out of 24 players. I have even joined games with 0 player count as the games seem to fill fast.
    3. If your squad is still split up after joining game then try to get player or players to switch sides.
    4. If player(s) who wants to switch sides gets error saying something like server will be unbalanced....wait about 2 mins and try again.
    5. If the player or players still can't switch sides, get them to leave the game and come back in by joining game from server browser using the friends tab or join on friend.
    6. Server Browser is your best friend. :)






    *It's really not that bad... just follow these tips and you will have your squad together in no time . :)

    How to get all of your friends into the same game and preferrablly on the same side.

    Once in game you can jump into pre-made squads that are empty and then invite your friends to join same squad. As far as teams the server needs to be uneven in order to switch teams. 1 team has to have 2 or more players than the other.
