    Can't join friends party group chat


    For the last two to three weeks I have been unable to join my friends party on xbox chat unless invited which I don't want to keep having to get her to do. I have tried hard reset, checked my network and privacy settings which are fine and cleared the
    persistent but nothing has worked. I'm starting to run out of ideas on what it could be and how to fix it. If anyone knows or has any tips that may help please let me know.

    Xbox App Not Letting Me Join Parties

    I don't think that Phone users are allowed to make/join parties that why Microsoft implemented party chat where iPhone user can send they friend a party chat so that their friend can join through the message. to be able to use party chat you need to have
    a chat group with all your friends in it and send a party chat.

    Yes it is through the friends list, the join option comes up grey instead of white so cant even click it to join, I can join the game their in but not the chat.

    There could be many reasons for that, but first please elaborate, are you trying to join her through the friend list?, do you see the join option when doing so? or you can join and then see an error message on the party?
