Can’t join friends Gta 5 session xbox x

Every time I join gta online im always alone in a public and noone can join it.

With regards to this issue, if you can join other multiplayer games such as public session on GTA V, it could mean that the problem is either on GTA server's end or the connection of your friend.

Have you tried checking your and your friends NAT type connection to see if the status is open? You may follow the steps below to check your NAT type:

1. Navigate to the System panel and choose Settings

2. Highlight Network and select Network Settings

This should display your NAT Type and connection type. A more open NAT Type will have fewer conflicts with other player systems and encounter less connectivity issues with other players.

NAT Type Definitions:

OPEN NAT Type: Can play games with any NAT type

MODERATE NAT Type: Can play games with open or moderate NAT types

STRICT NAT Type: Can only play games with open NAT types

Just in case both of you have an open NAT type, what I suggest next is to visit Rockstar games to contact their support. I only own Gta. If I am playing online on my own it works. Once I join a mission/map/session with a friend. Kicks me out aftrr 5-10 mins of playing

When I send them invites, they don’t receive the notification at all. When they join an ‘online friends session’ a notification comes up on gta saying there are no compatible friends on gta.

Okay, start story mode then press start, go to online in the pause menu and click "play GTA Online", then you get six options

1: GO - Head strait in GTA Online

2: Invite only session

3:Crew session

4: Closed crew session

5: Closed friend session

6: Solo session
