Can't Join A Friend In Game, But Can Talk In A Party

    Can't Join A Friend In Game, But Can Talk In A Party


    I can connect to a friends party, and talk to him. I can also play with him, in some games, but in some random games I can connect to him what so ever. I can play with his brother perfectly fine, and they live in the same house.

    Can't join specific friends party, but can join everyone else

    I can't join my friends party or private chat but I can connect to my other friends partys.

    When in my other friends party we both can join and can talk to each other but as soon as the host friend leaves we get DC'd from the party.

    We occasionally can join each others party but after a while it kicks us (very rare we're able to do this).

    Has been going on for almost a week now what's going on?

    Strict NAT and "Can't get a Teredo IP address" error

    Well I can't join a party says party chat unavailable at this time and my Nat type is strict and I can't join my friends good job Ms bring out a console that U can talk or play with yafriends why even include a mic

    Can't Join A Friend In Game, But Can Talk In A Party

    Since you say they live in the same house, it might be, that your friend's and his brother's router or internet provider are unable to properly "hairpin" their connection,
    or because your friend (unlike his brother) didn't properly port forward to his own console, so his brother has an "open NAT" and your friend has a "moderate" or "strict" NAT.

    If you yourself have a non-open NAT, you might have trouble connecting to your friend.

    So please check in each of your consoles in the network settings the NAT status.

    If it is not open, you need to configure your router to forward incoming traffic on the Xbox Live ports to your own console.

    In the case of your friend and his brother, they both have to set their consoles to DIFFERENT Xbox Live port addresses, and then set their router to forward incoming traffic on these ports to each console respectively.

    Are gamers being less social than they already are?

    I also prefer parties to be closed for invite only as having friends of friends popping in, then their friends joining which can soon lead to an out of control party. I just can't stand big parties where everyone is talking over each other getting louder
    and louder fighting for a word.

    This is how dumb your system is. I can join a friends party but not his game. Then once I'm in his party I can't join his game. I then can't invite him to my game if he's already in my party?
