    Can't install Xbox App games in a drive other than C:


    I have quite a few hard drives on my PC and I can only install Xbox games on C:

    If I pick a different drive at the installation it fails and the download never happens.

    My name is Ezequiel I'm an Independent Consultant. I suggest you try to change the default installation of applications and games so that they are installed directly on your external 4TB hard drive. You can do this through the system so that all your files will download directly there.
    Click on the Start menu (Windows icon) and select Settings (gear icon) . After you make the changes please restart your computer and see if the error is resolved.
    Select Storage.
    Select Advanced Storage Settings, then select Where new content is saved.
    Select the location where you want each type of content to be saved.

    It's not an external drive but a different SSD.

    My boot drive (C:) has only 512gb capacity but I have a different SSD installed with 4 TB capacity

    Besides that, every time I launch any XBOX App game like Age of Empires:DE I get the same prompt of Microsoft Store Dependecy Package installer.

    I have tried all the above and still not allowing me to install to my E: drive :-(

    As a last resort I checked the actual security properties of the E: drive and compared it to C: and D: and cannot see any differences of significance.
