Can't Install Physical Disc Ninja Gaiden Black (NTSC Japan) On XB One X Region US

I purchased original ninja gaiden black japan disc but xb wont allow me to install this game.

I saw microsoft support this game ( https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/backward-compatibility ) but why i can't install it?

Finally i found out my game is Ninja Gaiden not Ninja Gaiden Black. Japan text make me think it's ninja gaiden black.

1/ Eject disc

2/ On the main menu press and HOLD 10 sec the power button of the console , wait 30 sec , restart console

3/ Sign in with your account , be sure to be connected on Xbox live

4/ Put the game disc , you should see the update message popup

I'm going to assume that it won't install since its a japan disc and a US region account.

It could also be another issue relating to your Xbox not reading discs, or the disc being dirty or scratched.

What exactly happens when you insert the disc?

Yes, my console is connected to xbox live and fully updated. Just installed Red Dead Redemption 2 from gamepass and working well.

just to be sure, is your console fully updated and connected to Xbox Live when you try to install the disc?

Also Xbox One games are regionally free, but older games like Ninja Gaiden Black may not be, I'm unsure if this could be the cause though.
