    Can't install or manage Series X from Gamepass App


    Just before the most recent update to the Gamepass app on Android, my Series X disappeared from the available consoles to manage and install too. I used to be able to see all my consoles, and I remember not to long ago they added setting the default console, but all consoles were still available. Now only the One X shows up. I removed a One S when I replaced it with the Series X, but we still keep the One X set as the home console for the kids. I'm wondering if I can only manage the home console now. Both consoles show up in the regular XBox app.

    Sorry I can't help you but I'm having the exact same issue on my new Series X. No Gamepass and can't install any Gamepass games through the Store. Just thought I'd let you know it's not just you. Hopefully be fixed soon!

    Thank you for affirming, it's not just me.

    Same deal. I upgraded from the original Xbox One to a Series X. I could manage games from both the Xbox app and Game Pass app to my original Xbox One. I put my Series X into service on 1/28/21. Apparently ,from what I have seen there must have been app updates to the Game Pass app.

    Now as you said, I cannot manage or install Game Pass apps remotely from the Game Pass app to the Series X. However, it looks like the Xbox App can manage the Series X.

    I also factory reset the original Xbox One and packed it up. I also removed my original Xbox One from the Devices tab on my account.microsoft.com page and made sure my Series X was set as my home xbox.

    Pretty confident that this is not me nor you.

    Figured I would mention I have the same issue and hope they fix it soon.

    For what it is worth, you can filter games in the Xbox app on your phone to show Game Pass games along with optimized for SeriesX|S and platform as Xbox One. Then you can at least see the Game Pass games in the Xbox app and remote install them that way as a work around.

    I signed out. But when she tries to use any game from gamepass she gets an error stating “the person who bought this needs to sign in. Sign in with the account that bought the game and installed the app”. So then I sign back in and she’s able to use gamepass on her account. Which logs me out of my game session on my series x.
