    Can't install minecraft java edition


    Hi there, I recently purchased a laptop of my own and when I tried to boot up minecraft java edition it only says that the trial version is available. I bought java edition on my regular computer 8 years ago and I'm on the correct account on my laptop. I'm wondering what the problem is as I would love to have minecraft java edition on my laptop.

    Multiple official Minecraft apps

    They are not all java edition. The top one is the bedrock edition. It's just called Minecraft, and the same version is on other platforms too. Then you have the launcher, which you can use to launch any of the Minecraft games, including Legends and Dungeons. The bottom one is java edition.

    If you only want to run the java edition, then the java edition is the one you want to install.

    Then you have the JAVA edition installed but you bought the Bedrock edition. I recommend uninstalling Minecraft and then install it from the Microsoft Store

    Just to be clear you're having installation issues with the Minecraft Launcher, not any of the Minecraft Products such as Java edition, Bedrock Edition or Minecraft Dungeons?

    If the issues are on the Java launcher installer, please, log in the Microsoft store app with the account that made the purchase then look for the Minecraft launcher and install it from there then log in in the launcher with the account that made the purchase on the java section and finally install the java edition
