can't install minecraft i get an error "there has been an error"

no i get the error message saying "sorry unable to start minecraft"

Since the same error persists, I suggest you contact Minecraft team so they can further check this bug. You can submit a request here: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/requests/new.

Try resetting the MS store app instead. Select Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Find the App then select the Advanced options link under the name of the app (some apps don't have this option). On the page that opens, select Reset.

ive already tried those solutions and they havent worked and ive just tried installing netflix and it worked so i think its only to do with minecraft launcher

Do you have other games that you can try to install so we can isolate if this issue is specifically happens in Minecraft launcher?

You can also clear MS store cache, press the Win + R key to open the Run dialog.

Type cmd and click OK to open Command Prompt.

In the Command Prompt window, type the following command and hit Enter to execute:

WSReset.exe

then select Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Find the App named "MS store" then select the Advanced options link under the name of the app (some apps don't have this option). On the page that opens, select repair. Try installing the launcher again.
