    Can't install mandatory Microsoft Flight Simulator update


    I recently bought the game and installed it via steam. Opened the game, now I'm at the stage where I install the ~135gb update. I start the install and within 30 seconds it says connection lost and to check my network connection. I've looked it up online and have signed out of all xbox services on the computer and relaunched the game. I've signed out of the box companion app, xbox game bar and the xbox app and it still doesn't sign me out and the issue is still presenting itself.

    Viable "game support" does not seem available. I used to be able to find a chat function!

    No joy!!! MSFS 2020 will not go past "searching for updates" following the recent update to 12.0.6.0.

    Now it's virtually impossible to get into a tech support chat mode. I will not be shocked to learn that

    Microsoft has thrown in the towel on this project. It is an ambitious project that has long-term MS patrons, like me,

    trying to decide when it's time to give up on MSFS2020. I can still use FSX (with my favorite airplanes) thanks to "Steam".

    My next step will be to delete the app (again!) and sacrifice access to my PC for the long re-install process.

    Not a hardware problem. Just got the sim running today. Next is the Force Feed Joystick.
