Can't install gear 5

if this is happening on a PC then be sure to check if your PC meets the requirements.

If this is happening on a Xbox One console then please try the following steps:

please try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

http://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/console/power-cycle-console

If that didn't help on the console then be sure to try and install the game via for example the Xbox Companion app via the PC.

You need the Game Pass application installed on your PC to download Gears 5 with the subscription, it can't be installed from the Windows Store.

Is your PC running Windows 10 1903? and are you using the Game Pass PC (beta) app to download the game?

You will need to update Windows to 1903 in order to download the Xbox (beta) app game launcher and then you will be able to download games available in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. If the update is not being offered in your Windows update settings, try running
the Xbox (beta) app installer and it should also walk you through updating Windows.

If you still can't update Windows to download the app, then try using the Update Assistant: https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10
