    Can't install games


    I am having a problem with Xbox Game Pass for PC where certain games won't install after I click on the "Install" button. When I click "Install", it will take me to the option of which hard drive to install to, I choose, and then click "Install" again, and
    then the window closes and nothing happens. This is currently happening with both Metro: Exodus and Blair Witch, both games I had previously installed at one point, but had uninstalled during a period of trying to clean and clear up space on my HD.

    That said, I have uninstalled/re-installed the Xbox for PC app, I have tried downloading directly from the Microsoft store, I have gone into my WindowsApps folder and deleted all files associated with both games, I have deleted the app cache...I really am
    at a loss here and don't know what to do. This Game Pass for PC seemed like a great idea in the beginning, but I have had nothing but problems with it since I first signed on three months ago and I am quickly losing interest. It's really not worth all the
    headaches and hassle of simply trying to get a game to download and run correctly.

    Anyone experience this issue and know of any solution? Thanks.

    Sorry to hear it. It could be that there is an update interfering with the install. Can you try disconnecting the console from the internet for the duration of the install from disc?

    If you watch a lot of movies from disc, I suggest clearing that cache as well.

    Hello there!

    Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums! I understand that this situation can be frustrating but I will be happy to assist you with the issue. Just to clarify, does this only happen to games installed on your External Hard drive or does this happen to games
    installed on your internal hard drive? If you have yet to try installing games on your Internal I would recommend trying to install the games on the Internal Hard drive to make sure that it's not your External having the issues.

    I would also suggest checking your
    Purchase history     to make sure that you have indeed purchased the games. If the games were purchased on the account you're using, then I would test your

    Network Connection    . Additionally, I would check out this support article for
    Game Installation Issues    .

    Have you tried clearing the system cache? Hold the power button for approximately 5 seconds. I have these problems at times, and this usually resolves.
