    Can't insert disc into Xbox One X


    I had a game disc get stuck inside my One X earlier today (i.e. pressing the eject button did nothing) and had to use a paper clip to manually eject the disc. Now that the disc is out, I can't get the Xbox One to take any disc. When I attempt to put the
    disc in, the Xbox never "pulls" the disc into the console, no matter how far I manually push the disc in. I've pushed it in as far as leaving about a quarter inch of the disc sticking out so I could still pull it out.

    I've tried powering off, pulling the plug and rebooting. I even tried another tip where I held the disc eject button while pressing the power button but nothing helped. I am guessing at this point that it might be a hardware failure but wanted to see if
    anyone had any other tips before I look into the cost of having it repaired.

    Anyone experience this and, if so, what was the resolution?

    Series X disc drive question

    I'm pretty sure, TylerG5.

    As a console gamer, I've inserted and ejected discs hundreds of times across my Xbox consoles (Xbox 360, Xbox One S, Xbox One X, and Xbox Series X), and to this day, I've never had any issues with them.

    Constantly inserting and ejecting discs is considered normal usage for a console, so it should have no impact on the state of your console's disc drive.

    Have you tried to insert the disc on a different Xbox One console or Xbox Series X|S console to test if it will work?
