Can't get Xbox Accessories app to see my Elite 2 controller on Windows 10

Have you set up the Elite Controller using the Xbox Accessories App? See here:

Customizing user profiles on a Windows 10 PC is not supported via Bluetooth. Any Bluetooth capable Xbox One controllers will need to be plugged in via USB-C or through the Xbox Wireless Adapter if you want to customize and use custom profiles. The Xbox Accessories
app will not detect your controller over Bluetooth connection.

Use the Xbox Accessories app to customize your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2  

Things to keep in mind:

• The Xbox Accessories app is only available on Xbox One and Windows 10.
• To configure the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, get the Windows 10 May 2019 Update (or later) and make sure your PC has the latest fixes.

• The Xbox Accessories app won’t detect your controller if you’re using Bluetooth to connect to your PC. Connect your controller using Xbox Wireless, or plug the included USB-C cable into the back of the Xbox Elite Wireless

he is using an outdated version of windows 10, he needs to update to the latest version of windows 10 before he can update and use the accessories app, it is nothing to do with the current firmware issue on the controller.

I'm just really frustrated with xbox accessories app pc. Can't configure my xbox elite series.

In order for me to use the Xbox Accessory App on my PC I had to connect via USB. I was actually able to do it when I first got my controller. I configured it and used it for a month. Then decided to use it on my Xbox one so I took it over to that and connected via Bluetooth. It then said it needed to update my controllers firmware which I did. That update wiped out all my settings from the PC setup and I had to re-configure them for my Xbox. I thought this was normal so I didn't think much of it until I went to use it on my PC and all my settings for the paddles were gone.
