Can't get Too Human to work.

Oh I see you are a gears fan too. I will play that too but I am no pro by far. I just love the game. I have everything except the 100 and Seriously 2. I got reset three time and it is killing me. I hope they do 2 or 3 more xp events so I can get it
before Gears launches.

Its is hard to say half of hall of heros is 1/4 of the game. Ice Forest alone is like 3 times the length of the whole HoH and 10X as painful. LOL But I get your point about experiencing the game. But honestly leveling up and playing at 50 is like two
different games.

Also it might be time since you played but if you don't remember what the buttons do then that could be the reason for many deaths. The B button alone can save you as it makes you invincible during a roll. A makes you jump with is air combat and makes your
combo meter grow faster. Triggers work your guns. LB activates your ruiner for those how Sh!t moments. Y drops your spider which varies in effectiveness based on how you are specced. Finally X is your battle cry which can instantly turn you from hero to
god.

I did like the demo - the story and setting especially, but the reviews put me off.

It's one of those games I feel tempted to buy , but never get round to.

If they do make a Too Human 2 ( or 2 Human) then I probably will pick it up.

There is plenty I could complain about but I'll pick the most annoying two.



The camera was a nightmare, as enemies could attack you from off-screen but you were unable to attack back.



Then there was the Valkyrie death sequence. Now this was quite nice the first time it happened but it was very long and you could not skip the sequence. You would be seeing that woman one whole hell of a lot.

pushing the left bumper. Also I found that a lot of people I played with did not know the camera has about 7 different settings. At the furthers zoom you almost can't get attacked from off screen, not that I have seen it much outside of rocket goblins but
you should take them out first anyway.

Deaths, If you keep up with your armor rating as you level you really should not be dying that much unless you are a berserker or commando and not killing fast enough they are glass cannons. I might also be use to dying a lot as I have played all the Ninja
Gaiden's (the last one actually has the same 100 deaths achievement, i got that one very quickly). I had 5 level 50 characters before I got it on Too Human.

The Valkyrie scene is over hyped. It is really not long compared to most games loading screens. At least it varies a bit compared to seeing the same loading screen a thousand times. I know Ninja Gaidens is longer and don't even talk about Mass Effect
(but you don't die that often). If you actually record it the time is no more than 20 seconds, 30 at the max in some areas. It tends to be longer if you die on lower sections than you respawn.

As to the lawsuit. You can see a lot of the court documents on the first page of siliconknights.net . The judge has sent the case to trail so SK has some merit. Most people think SK is suing BECAUSE Too Human did poorly. But SK filed the lawsuit about
a year before TH shipped and is suing EPIC for not delivering a working engine when they had promised in the contract NOT that the Unreal engine is a bad engine.

You also can't assume that no developer had problems with the engine because they did not sue. I remember pretty much every early Unreal game getting delayed and the PS3 games took like an extra six months to a year to ship. So something happened. Also
can't say if that was on EPIC or the developer though.

Kudos if you read all of this but essentially if you want help with TH the best place to visit is SK.net as their is a helpful community there that will help you get what you need.

Sorry, I was not trying to advertise to take people away from this site. Just trying to help people out. But I also come here some times and answer questions when I can. But I do need to update my sig that is a very old one.

Like I said I really enjoyed the game so it's faults are not that big for me. But what game has no faults. I love Gears of war too and even EPIC admits that Gears 2's multiplayer was awful at launch. They have improved it but after play the Gears 3 beta
it feels bad again. LOL.

I love that thing about the power button, but it is hard to say that the mechanics are broken when there are also lots of people who find the game playable and enjoyable. Difficult and broken are two different things and the controls can be mastered. I
can do unstoppable on any level with any character now. I almost miss seeing the valkyrie now but the wolf troopers die all the time so there is that. LOL.

Yes, I agree early on deaths can be frequent but they can be conquered and are not inevitable. I am not sure I have space on my friends list right now but If you want I would love to run a level with you as I love to talk about TH and get different opinions
on it. I don't think I can convert you and I would not try. ;D
