Cant get rid of Forza Horizon 5 Files.

Hello,

Recently I couldnt start Forza Horizon 5 again, because of the Gaming Services App (sorry, but that App is utter garbage. Always the same Problems for everyone).

So, I tried using the Fix I had used before to get rid of the Problem (Uninstalling Gaming Services via Powershell, then installing again). Well that didnt work this time. After many retries and trying out different solutions, I decided to uninstall and then Reinstall Forza Horizon. Went to the Windows Menu, searched for FH5, right click -> uninstall. Except all it did is remove FH5 from the App List under Apps and Features. Cant find it there, but can still search it in the Windows Menu. Cant start it, and when trying to uninstall nothing happens.

So now I tried resetting and repairing the Microsoft Store and Xbox app. Nothing changed. Tried using the command Remove-AppxPackage Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_1.332.904.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe in Powershell. Only got the error, that the Package could not be found under the User. There are no other Active users on my PC.

Great. So now I cant get rid of the Files?

Can anyone give me a Solution to this?

Files are still on the Drive and I can still find FH5 under the Windows Menu. Not under Apps and Features or the Microsoft Store/Xbox App though....

P.S.: The Gaming Services App, or the System surrounding it, need a serious rework....

as I've shown in my last Screenshot, Windows Settings doesnt find the Game under Applications. I had done that step already at the very beginning, which led me to this situation.

Do you perhaps have any other ideas?

Regarding your question it is recommended that you refer to the following steps:

Press WIN+i to go to Settings-Applications-Search for the game name-Advanced-Uninstall the program-Restart your computer.

Reinstall the Gaming Services app on your Windows 10/11 device:

Press the Start button on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.

In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
Restart your device and try to install the game again.

do any other Solutions come to mind? Is it safe to transfer permissions for the Folders to my User and delete them manually?

It appears that the issue of launching the game Forza Horizon 5 got complicated when the problem started from starting the game up until uninstalling the game. Let us check and see on what we can do to help resolve your concern in a timely manner.

We would like to ask few questions to help us isolate the issue further.

1. When did the issue start? Has there been any changes with the device before this issue happen?

2. Are you able to launch other games from the Xbox app and Microsoft store?

3. Which application did you use to launch the game before? Is it through Xbox app or other application.

As per description that you have already uninstalled the game from the settings and when trying to search the game you can find the game and unable to launch it. It is possible that what you have seen from the Windows search is already a cached file. To launch the game, we need to download and install the game through Microsoft store or Xbox app. Before doing so, we will make sure that your device is up to date for the game to run smoothly. Below are the steps to keep your device updated.

1. Make sure Windows is up to date.

Press the Start button on the taskbar, type settings, and then select Settings.
On Windows 10, select Update & Security. On Windows 11, select Windows Update.
On the Windows Update page, select Check for updates to see if any updates are available

including optional updates for your device.

Once the updates have downloaded, select Install now to start the installation.
Following installation, we recommend that you restart your device so that the latest updates can take effect.

2. Make sure you are signed in to the Xbox app and the Store with the same account.

> To make sure your permissions for the game can be validated, be sure to sign in to both the Store and the Xbox app using the same account that was used to purchase the game.

3. Download and install the game from My Games library in Xbox app or search the game from Microsoft store to start downloading and reinstalling
