    I have over 18,000 credits waiting to be deposited, when I go to the my rewards tab and hovering over my pending points it says to update account, but what do I update? I updated my personal info, but what else?

    p.s. 2 months ago I left the rewards program to switch my xbox account to the us region( I moved ) and enrolled again after the transition

    Hello Snoopyer,

    I can confirm that your recent region migration caused this issue. Your deposit is being prevented due to a mismatch between your Rewards Account region and your Microsoft Account region. Since your Rewards Account is a separate entity from your Microsoft
    Account, migrating your Microsoft Account region will not also change your Rewards Account region. Therefore, when your Rewards Account attempts a deposit in one regional currency, it cannot complete when your Microsoft Account is of a differing currency.

    However, this issue can be fixed by heading over to the Microsoft Commerce page at (https://commerce.microsoft.com) to update your Microsoft
    account to match your Xbox Live Rewards location. Another option if you wish to continue with Rewards in your current Xbox Live region is to opt out of the program at ( https://rewards.xbox.com/optout/ )
    , wait 48 hours and then sign back up again, which can also take 48 hours.

    While you will lose your progress by starting a brand new account, you can start earning Rewards Credits that will successfully reward your newly registered regional currency. To confirm that you have re-registered correctly, you can check your join date
    from the MyRewards page at (Xbox Live Rewards). If your join date shows a specific date and not a date of "???", then your
    account has successfully been re-registered. If you open a new post after being able to log in to your new Rewards account, you can request any pending deposits from your old account to your new one.

    If your account is a US account but your billing address is in Canada and you aren't willing to update it or are unable, you can get instant delivery of MS Point codes from Amazon.com where you just put the code into your console or through Xbox.com and
    redeem the code instead of being charged directly by Microsoft.

    alright thanks. so what if i purchased some points from a card like from walmart or best buy would they work? I tried it before but they were US points cards and my region was Canada at the moment. any ideas here?

    As your account region is already in the U.S. and you seem to have no qualms about using your U.S. based credit card to make these purchases, I would simply recommend that you update your payment/billing options from Canada where they currently reside to
    U.S. where they should be. Please see this link for instructions how to change your payment instrument:
