Discus and support cant get minecraft launcher to work in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; i tried to download the minecraft launcher from the microsoft store and when i try to open it it says its updating and the progress bar freezes....     cant get minecraft launcher to work


    i tried to download the minecraft launcher from the microsoft store and when i try to open it it says its updating and the progress bar freezes.

    when i try to hit 'close' it wont and just stays open. ive tried restarting my laptop and reopening it but it still does the same thing. ive gone in settings and tried to repair and reset it and still nothing works. ive tried to uninstall it but it still says i have it. ive tried downloading minecraft via minecraft.net and it wasnt working and kept saying my pc wasnt able to run it.

    Minecraft Java edition says its running but wont actually open the window

    I downloaded a different launcher (modrinth) and it now works I would just recommend people to get a non official Minecraft launcher and it should work haven’t tried the official launcher to see if it works yet

    when opening the Legacy launcher it say Switch to my email to play Minecraft: Java edition the email its refirring to is the email im loggin in with so it feels like i have 2 account and i cant get into the right account because its the same email to both of them

    Go to the Microsoft store and search for the Minecraft launcher, where it has the option ‘Get‘ next to ‘Play’. Choosing ,get, will update the launcher and it should work….L Microsoft

    Yes this worked for me! Look up "minecraft launcher" on microsoft store and click "get".
