Can't get Epic Mickey 2 free game with gold

Hi there,

I've been trying to download the Epic Mickey 2 game which is currently free with Gold, but I keep getting an error, both on my Xbox and on the website, but I know others have downloaded it fine. Any ideas?

Impossible to get free Epic mickey games with gold

Hi,

I used the code for 14days xbox live gold sub inclued in my oxbox one S pack and it works because I can play online and I get free For Honor with it.

But I can't get Disney Epic Mickey without paying while it is free with games with gold program.

Have you a solution to solve my problem ?

Trials dont change your account status to gold. They only give you access to some benefits of online multiplayer. Xbox One games with gold games require that you keep gold in order to continue playing the games for free, while 360 games do not. So only a
full paid subscription will allow you to download the 360 games.

You aren't on a trial gold sub by any chance are you? What happens if you hard reset your console and then try downloading?

 

You must have a credit/debit card in your account, If You have a It so try do It from another device, your Pc, smartphone, using a browser with your Xbox Account. If It doesn't work so You Will have to do It from Xbox 360

 

If You have a child account You Will only be able to It from Xbox 360, there is no other way, even to get Free games on Xbox Live Gold original to buy games which is on Backwards Compatibility.

 

Do It from a browser, If You don't get the game so You should do It from Xbox 360

 

There have been a lot of people reporting the same issue lately and there have been several different suggestions.

Try starting up a 360 game and then try buying it again. Once you've started it up, try pressing the guide button on your controller and making sure your account is signed in through the 360 side.

If that doesn't work, try this:

1. Launch a Backwards Compatible title on your console.

2. Press the Start and Back (View and Menu) buttons at the same time.

3. Select Manage Storage (you will get a warning that you are leaving the game)

4. Select Profiles and find your gamertag and delete it.

5. Press B to back out of the screen and then press the Back and Start buttons again to bring up the menu

6. Select Sign In or press X on the controller

7. Select Download Profile to redownload your profile to the console

Your very first suggestion to start an already downloaded Xbox 360 game led to the solution.

When the 360 game launched, it wouldn't sign me in to Xbox Live, and when I tried it said my Xbox Live Gold subscription had expired.

Well, I've recently changed from monthly to yearly on my subscription, so my monthly one had expired and I think that was the problem.

I went to the 360 menu and selected to renew my subscription, and then it loaded my yearly subscription details, at which point it let me sign in to Xbox Live.

So it would seem that the virtual 360 simply just lost track of my correct subscription details. All solved and working correctly again now, thankfully.

I didn't have to mess with my profile in the end so saved a bunch of time.

No not on a trial, but had just changed from monthly to yearly subscription, and that is what seems to have caused the problem. Hard resetting hadn't worked either.

Yes, cards all linked and used many times. Not a child account either.

I had tried signing in on other consoles but the problem remained.

It was because I'd changed to yearly subscription from monthly.

I tried from my Chrome browser and it still gave the same error.

It was caused by changing to yearly subscription instead of monthly
