Can’t fully link Twitch to Xbox, all threads have gone unanswered.

Like many others, I can’t link my Twitch account to my Xbox Series X. I previously had done so successfully with another account, but I removed it to link my newest Twitch to no avail. It says the two accounts are connected on both ends, but when I hit “start streaming,” I’m prompted to connect my Twitch account as if I hadn’t before and given a QR code and activation combination.

I’ve signed out of both apps. I’ve signed out of my Xbox itself. I’ve restarted the console several times after linking, etc. Contacting Twitch is pointless. I’ve researched this and have noticed that the Microsoft assistance has ended after every person said their solutions didn’t work for them.

How do I fix this? It looks like this is an issue that’s been around for going on three years at this point.

Here are the things that we can perform:

1. Make sure that you have the latest version of the Twitch app installed on your Xbox Series X. Download the Twitch app from the Microsoft Store on your Xbox. If you have already the Twitch app, make sure it is the most up to date.

2. Sign out of both your Xbox Live and Twitch accounts.

3. Clear the cache on your Xbox Series X by holding down the power button for 10 seconds until it turns off, then unplug the power cord for 30 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.

4. Sign back into your Xbox Live account and launch the Twitch app.

5. Follow the prompts to link your Twitch account to your Xbox Live account.

Additionally, you can try removing your Xbox profile and try adding it again.

I'm having the exact same issue. The settings I need to check/verify/change are just missing from my account page. Every thread I've found with people having this issue has gone unanswered - Tried calling xbox and microsoft support as well, but there
was no solution. Please update this thread if there is a solution that works.

There is something seriously wrong with the xbox one twitch app given everyones issues here. Mine was that it said I had to subscribe to the channel for vod when I did. It has since sorted itself out, but sent two different support requests over the past
month which have gone unanswered. Not sure what is happening but I hope they fix the app problems sometime soon.
