    Can't find a headset adapter?


    I'm planning on buying an Xbox one again after moving to PC to play specific games, and I don't want to spend a lot of money on other things so I'm using my old headset again. The problem is, it needs a headset adapter, but when I went looking to buy one,
    they're all insanely priced. Gamestop used to have them for $25 or so, and now they're $45 pre owned. Are they discontinued or something? And does anyone know where I can buy one for a decent price?

    We can't find a headset for these people

    Ever since the new update me and my friends have been having a problem with our headsets. We can hear the game volume through our headsets but not each other.

    In the party tab it will say "We can't find a microphone for these people" and we have to remove and reinsert our headset a few times until they work. It happens almost every time we join a party and it's such a nuisance. It's only been noticeable
    since the new update.

    Does anyone else have this issue or know how's to solve it completely?

    Hi there,

    I believe the adapters were discontinued when the new (second gen and newer)
    controllers came out. I have not seen the adapter on the market for a while now. Can't find a headset adapter? :(

    The current controllers and the chatpad all have an jack for a headset to be connected to them.

    I completely forgot about the chat pad. Just looked at they're better priced so no reason for me not to buy that instead. Thanks a bunch

    I completely forgot about the chat pad. Just looked at they're better priced so no reason for me not to buy that instead. Thanks a bunch

    Hi there,

    What headset do you use? Does it connect to the 3.5 mm audio port or do you own a headset adapter?

    It's recommended to have a headset with an adapter or find the individual headset adapter and update your controller with a USB cable to your Xbox One and have the headset plugged in at the same time when you update your controller. Even if the controller
    is up to date, you can force the firmware update but with the headset plugged in.

    Do you get a warning message that a microphone can't be found or is your audio not being heard by others?

    Change the cable round going from the adaptor to the headset.

    Try again, take out the adaptor and put it back in

    try again, turn off the headset

    try again

    If none of that works, you need to find out if the issue is the adapter, the cable, or the headset.

    (you can't even test them on the 360 to find out if the mics working)

    I have a PX22 headset and I bought the adapter yesterday. Chat and audio work fine through the headset. The only problem I have is I can't hear myself talking anymore like I used to, so I find myself yelling all the time. What happened why can't I hear myself.....PLEASE
