Can’t download Xbox Game Pass games (PC) on any drive except my C: drive

2. Check the permissions on your A: drive to ensure that you have full read and write access. To do this, right-click on the A: drive in File Explorer, select "Properties," and then click on the "Security" tab. Make sure that your user account has full control permissions.



3. Try running the Xbox app as an administrator. Right-click on the Xbox app icon and select "Run as administrator." This may help to resolve any permission issues.



4. If none of the above steps work, you may need to try resetting the Xbox app. To do this, open the Settings app, select "Apps," and then find the Xbox app in the list. Click on the app and select "Advanced options." Scroll down and click on the "Reset" button.

You can install games on any drive, but I'm pretty sure the Game Pass app needs to go on C:\ drive.

I really wouldn't recommend having a full C:\ drive. Not only will this slow your PC down, but a full drive will make updating Windows impossible.

Thank you! This fixed some of the problems to download. It is not all games i can download. Still get an error code on some. Now i just want to find out how to move the games from my c: drive to my d: drive. 🤗

I can install snowroller and guardians of the galaxy without any problems. Except they go into C: drive but generation zero i get an error code, 0x87e00017

I am logged in as the admin. I'm downloading the game through Game Pass on the Xbox App, these are not games that were purchased. I am downloading them to my C drive.
