Can't download Steam mods and can't join Steam servers on Microsoft Ark.

I bought Ark Survival Evolved on the Microsoft store not too long ago, and once it was downloaded I watched YouTube videos on how to download mods like S+ from Steam onto single player. However When I subscribe to the mode it comes up with a message saying
that it has been added to my subscriptions but I need to relaunch Ark. When I try to join Axeman's play as a dino server via Steam, I get taken to another page saying I need to buy Ark on Steam. please help.

Ark in the Windows Store is different from the Ark in Steam. Therefore, Steam mods may not be compatible with the Windows Store version.

As CptMorgan said, you can't play a microsoft game on steam, or a steam game on microsoft. they are purely two different base games that are not compatible with each other. the Microsoft one is crossplay to Xbox, and the steam one doesnt appear to have
the same function.

Hi There,

If you are using Ark from Microsoft Store you cannot play it in Steam, you should still have access to the same servers and be able to play with your friends that play the game on Steam, but you still own the Microsoft version and not the Steam version.

If i buy xbox pass and download ark for free, will i able to join steam ARK servers or EPIC ark servers, plz let me know so that i can buy it.

The Xbox Game Pass will only allow you to play with the Xbox Game Pass for PC, and Xbox versions.
