    i usually activate my gold game using a pc and xbox marketplace site. I could buy / activate the NHL 2019 game but for Portal: Still Alive i keep getting "Sorry Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again" when i try to pay for the free
    game. I then tried to download some trailer or other game and i keep getting it on all things i tried.

    i tried paying using paypal account and credit card but both give same problem.

    It only started happening recently as i had been doing this for all xbox live gold 360 games since a year without a problem so must be something new or messed up.

    I also made sure the url in address bar points to my correct region (nl-BE) as the links tends to end up in al other kinds of regions even us. So that's not the problem either. I have not tried buying from my xbox one console directly yet, but i'm guessing
    it's probably gets the same error and it's a generic problem.

    My paypal and credit card are working fine so not sure what the problem is currently, i even bought an windows 10 pro upgrade recently using my card without a problem and it seems "getting" the xbox one gold games don't give me this problem.

    How can i fix this please

    Hello! it may be a temporary issue. Try again later or tomorrow and see if it works.

    It's a temporary issue on Microsoft's side, all we can do is be patient and wait :)

    I was gonna say make sure your credit card isn’t expired, but it seems other people are having the same issue. If it doesn’t get resolved in a day or so contact Microsoft & see what they can do.

    I've had this happen before and after trying and trying like you have, I just left the Store and went back to playing a game for a while. I went back to the Store later on, or it may have even been the next day, to download that game and then it worked.
    It might just be a case of coming back to it later if none of the things you are trying is working. Sorry and good luck to you.
