Can't download or launch ANY game from xbox app on PC

Xbox game pass for PC, started last night. I logged in and played a few games just fine, restarted my computer due to the immense amount of lag I was getting on "The Riftbreaker" for literally no reason. When I came back literally less than 2 minutes later, every game I launch now opens the microsoft store instead of the game. I uninstalled literally everything listed as xbox from my system, rebooted my system, reinstalled everything related to xbox, no good. Tried reinstalling the game, but wait!!!! Nope, doesn't install. Went into regedit for these items

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServices]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServicesNet]
and the gamingservices part does NOT exist.

I launched powershell as admin, and typed and hit enter for “get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers” and "start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN" without quotes and with quotes and it did not fix it.
I repaired AND reset GamingServices in the apps and features of settings as well, also did not work.

Windows is fully up to date except for an optional intel bluetooth update that won't install/download for some reason.

ALL drivers are up to date as well.
Yes, my game pass is active.
I also did a selective startup with everything except microsoft disabled and guess what..........did NOT work.

I think this may be in the wrong place, so I posted it in the windows community as well.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums! When you attempt to install a game on your pc is one of the following instances happening?

1. You receive an error code after clicking the install button (if "yes" what is the code)?

2. You click the install button, and nothing happens.

3. You click the install button, and the download starts but immediately stops after a small percentage has installed.

open the Ubisoft app and it should be listed under games, you can download from there if your gamepass is linked. that is where it will download from anyway and once downloaded you will see the link to launch in that app or the Xbox app, be reminded though EA games and Ubisoft games do not have achievements for Xbox on PC.

Happening to me too.

Can't launch any Game Pass game.

XBox app on PC is behaving poorly (no list of installed games, searching for games not working)

Store app claims I need to join Game Pass, but Microsoft Support says I still have 6 weeks of Game Pass Ultimate.

Previously, the game I want to play (Slay the Spire) would only launch from XBox(Beta) app.

But now the XBox app is broken, I can't search for the game. It appears to serve no other purpose at the moment then displaying the games that are available on game pass.

I don't think you actually need the Xbox beta app to launch any game? The app is useful for checking the Xbox Game Pass for PC catalog, but you can also download any games via the Microsoft Store without the Xbox beta app. And the app doesn't need to run
in the background when you're playing Microsoft Store games on your PC
