Can't download new Minecraft preview

You need to download the new version, Minecraft Preview, that contains both windows and java

You may need to download insider builds for ray tracing

Are any of your friends in the "preview program" and have minecraft dowloaded through the preview program? And the other does not? If that is the case whomever is in the preview program must get out of the minecraft beta or alpha, then download the regular
version. You cannot play together otherwise.

So even more confusing, the minecraft preview(which I just downloaded) works but not the base version

I dont think you understand, let me re phrase, they added SHADER support on the Minecraft Preview but you cant OFFICALLY buy or download SHADERS on minecraft XBOX

In this case, please disable IPv6 on your computer:

- Go to Start > Search and click on control panel.

- Open Network and internet, then Network and sharing center.

- Click Change adapter settings.

- Right-click your connection and go to Properties.

- Uncheck "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)".

Then, please try to reset your network settings:

- Click on Start > Search for command prompt > Right click on it and select "Run as administrator". Copy and paste these commands (you can copy and paste all at once, just press Enter on the last one):

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /flushdns

ipconfig /renew

netsh winsock reset all

netsh winhttp reset proxy

netsh int 6to4 reset all

netsh int ip reset all

netsh int ipv4 reset all

After all of that, please use the System File Checker and DISM to repair broken, corrupted or missing system files:

Go to Start > Search for Command Prompt > Right Click > Run as Administrator. Run one command at a time:

chkdsk /r

chkdsk /f

sfc /scannow

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Checkhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Chkdsk may ask you to restart your computer in order to be able to run. If that's the case, please restart your computer when you can and it will run before Windows starts.
