Can’t download latest version of Minecraft without paying for it again.

Hi, I own Minecraft on Xbox one as a physical game with a disk, and I just got back to playing after a long time and now it says to download the most recent version for free but when I do it wants me to pay money, I already own the game so I’m not
sure what to do.

Unfortunately the free upgrade for disc owners ended on January 31, 2018. You would have to purchase the new version in order to upgrade.

A: Owners of the disc version of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will have until
January 30th 2018 to have played Minecraft for five or more hours in the past 12 months OR purchased a DLC Pack. There is no cutoff for digital Minecraft: Xbox One Edition owners.

There are 2 versions of the game in the store, one that is already discontinued that I imagine is what you call Maincraft xbox one edition and the other is only called maincraft that is the most up-to-date and for which you have
to pay
