Cant download Games pass games off app or store.

I've been having an issue for over a week now.

I've been using gamespass. Worked a treat. Downloaded quick. Worked nice.

Now every game I try to download ends in error telling me to turn on windows update (which it is on)

I've been through all the "solutions" clearing caches, reinstalling, restarting services, doing black magic through powershell and nothing.

Items on the Microsoft store either download incredibly slow (I'm talking single digit kb) or flat out refuse to move past pending.

I cant find a solution to any of my issues and the ones available flat out dont work. Both gamepass and the store are buggy messes and it still shocks me that they expect people to purchase media and services through it when it doesnt work most of the time.

Why would me account be the issue?

Its not just the Games Pass. It's pretty much anything from the Microsoft Store resulting in either being stuck on Pending or Starting Download.

It took well over all day to redownload the Xbox (Beta) app because it was topping out at single digit kb/s downloads.

Seems rather silly I'd need to reinstall a whole operating system back to zero just to be able to use a basic Microsoft feature.

Hi there,

if possible can you try and see what happens when you use your account on a different PC and sign in to your account with the Game pass subscription. This is to determine if the issue is caused by the account or the PC.

Keep in mind that as far as I know the PC Game Pass is still in Beta , so it might just be a case to wait a while to see if an update might fix it.

If it works fine on a different PC then you may consider trying a 'factory reset' on the PC, this is quite a step to take without any guarantee that it will work, I understand, but if this only happens on that specific PC, it might be a step to try

All connections are fine. And have redownloaded (at single digit kb/s speeds) and reinstalled anything related to it and still the problem persists.

I'm sorry for going through this friend, did you check your connection? Try installing the game pass bar again, sign out and log in again.

The Game Pass games can't be downloaded from the Windows Store, you need the official Game Pass App.
