cant download battlefield or any game from EA even though i have xbox gamepass

i have the xbox gamepass ultimate and it says in the xbox gamepass app that i can play battlefield 2042 the free trial for 10 hours but when i click download it open up ea app and tells me to buy ea play and i have linked my xbox account with my ea account it dosnt work i also tried with battlefield 1 also tells me to buy ea play even though it says included with xbox gamepass i am on pc windows

no i dont have it through game share i bought xbox gamepass ultimate on my pc on windows

Log out of the EA app, use the EA recovery app, reopen the app and when you log back into the app use the log in option with your Xbox account and try to download the game again.

When you say you have it do you mean thru game share ?

If so that's means you don't have it

Gameshare is ONLY A CONSOLE FEATURE

Only the account that has xgu can use it on pc

Well no gamepass games downloaded via gamepass are sharable but you cant install from other profiles only gold benefits transfer between home console profiles

BUT EA play games like battlefield 5 arent gold benefit its a gamepass benefit and are tied to gamepaas users only so only the gamepass holder get ea play benefita

You would need to contact EA for support on Battlefield. Even if you got it through GamePass it only acts as authentication to go on EA Play and download the games. Developers are responsible for their own apps and games.
