Can't download anything Microsoft related?

I cant download anything.

*I started when I tried launching Forza Horizon 4 from the console companion app, but it never could launch, it kept crashing.

I then tried launching other games, nothing. I troubleshoot everything for this on the Microsoft website and nothing.

*I uninstalled any related xbox products from my pc (except game bar which I cant because its default windows 10 app). I went to download companion again from website and nothing... I click the button and nothing happens, it doesn't change to "installing"
or anything, it just does nothing.

*ok, I try Installing Xbox Beta app instead, has to work right? NO, the exact same thing, nothing. is. working. I HAVE tried all the troubleshooting methods I can find from the website.

What i DID notice is when people have this same issue im having in the "community" tab, microsoft will reply with generic instructions and a link to the basic troubleshooting that is on every other page I see, and then when other users explain the issue
in depth and explain the troubleshooting didn't work.. the Microsoft team never gets back to it? I saw dozens of people with the same issue from October last year that was never answered/resolved.

Please help me Microsoft.. I can't just wipe/redo my OS, and I really don't want to miss out having my xbox games on my PC.

I can try everything step by step if I have to, but please don't leave me hanging like all the other threads I found

you dont have to load the companion app to launch games they are in the start menu.

what version of windows 10 do you have installed, is it 1903,1909 or 2004. also in the windows store have you checked for updates and also checked for updates under settings.

I'm running windows 1909, and I cant launch it from start menu on windows either.

And yes in the windows store I tried checking for updates and nothing came up, nor could I install any other software from the store.

I have been having the exact same issue for over a month now. I've been into the MS Store to try & download games etc through there & still the same result.....NOTHING !! I have even been online chat with an expert & after about half an hour of them telling
me to try all of the things that I'd already done in an effort to get things working again, they apologised & logged out then marked the issue as resolved which it most certainly was not. Through MS Store & XBOX Beta I get error codes of which all have been
reported & then researched by myself & the remedy tried each with the same result...NOTHING. I really don't want to cancel my subscription as during lockdown so many games that I really want to play have become available on Game Pass but I can't justify the
expence of paying for something that I'm not receiving.

I know that this doesn't help you in any way but it's always nice to know that there is someone out there that shares your pain.

yes, I have reset everything. I can download anything on my PC from Steam, just anything Microsoft store related refuses to download.
