    Can't download any games on Xbox Console Companion for PC


    I was downloading ARK for via console companion for about 8 days (my internet is horrible). I was almost done with the download when it shut down, without an error message. When I relaunched the app, I tried to click on the downloads and updates,it won't

    I left it on that screen for hours and nothing happened. If I click on Get Updates the app crashes, if I try to go to ready to install and initiate it from there, the app crashes.

    I've tried everything but uninstalling the game, but I would rather not have to reinstall ARK for another week. I don't think it has anything to do with ARK specifically, because the app crashes whenever I try to download Sea of Thieves or any other app.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey Amber! Thanks for the response.

    I am trying to use it to play games on my PC, not stream. I attempted to download the Xbox Beta Installer, but it froze when I clicked on the initial instillation button. I have also noticed that ARK says its installed, but when I click on it, a message
    pops up saying, Give us a Minute: ARK is updating. When i click the "See in store" option, this shows up half the time

    Not sure whats going on with it, I haven't seen any posts of people having the same issue, and none of the troubleshooting options seems to work.

    Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. If I'm understanding what is happening correctly, your Xbox app is crashing, is that right?

    Are you using the Xbox Console Companion app on your PC to connect with your gaming on console while streaming, or are you attempting to use it to play games on the Windows 10 PC itself? If so, then I would recommend the following support article as it has
    great troubleshooting in that regard: Troubleshooting Xbox Console Companion app game streaming on Windows 10.

    If you'd like to download games (especially Play Anywhere titles like the ones you mentioned)and play them solely on your PC, then you'll need to use the Xbox (Beta) app to do so. The following support articles can further detail how to accomplish

    Games are not downloaded via the Xbox Console Companion, they are downloaded through the Windows Store on your PC and in the store on your Xbox.
