can't download a game i already own from Xbox live store.

i brought GTA5 6 years ago and the details are in my purchase history but today iv been trying to download the game from the xbox live store and it's not registering that i already own it and wants me to buy it again.

im signed into the correct account and im able to download other games from my purchase history without any problems. its only GTA5 im having this issue with.

i purchased GTA5 in November 2014 and iv deleted it and downloaded and reinstalled plenty of other times over the last 6 years but like i said now its not registered that i own the game in the store.

could someone please help me figure out whats going on, would be much appreciated. thank you.

the problem is that the game shows in my purchase history but i can't click on it to open a new tab. the only option i have is to click on the Order Details which shows only the receipt details and iv now noticed its the same for other games which i purchased
on or before 2014,

so they show up in the history list but games purchased a while ago have no image and do not work as a link (apart from Order Details)

other games more recent do have a image and im able to click on those to open a new tab where it gives me the option to download to my xbox so i do know what you mean its just not possible for GTA5 because it's not opening as a link like most of my other
games.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with being able to install a game on your console.

If you are able to see your game via your order history, then you should have the option to

install the game remotely.

This should allow you to be able to get the correct version of the game you own onto your console.

Give this a try and let us know if this works for you!

Season Pass is installed, my Xbox says that I own it, and AW is still saying that I don't have it and is just advertising it to me in its in-game store. I can't buy it in-game because I already own it and Gorge is only saying Bundle-Only in the store I still
can't download it.

Hi, yes that is correct. Castle of Illusion was removed from all digital stores including Xbox Live, Playstation Store & Steam. This was due to Sega removing it due to the Disney license expiring. People who already own the game can still download it
on the xbox 360 and the xbox one, but if you don't own it, then you are out of luck.

I am also missing a lot of back compat games from my xbox all owned games list. Some are gwg that i have claimed (breakdown and conker live & reloaded and others) and some i have purchased (splinter cell blacklist and ghost recon advanced warfighter and others).

These games are playable and downloadable from the xbox store but say both "install you own this" and "buy to own".

If i select buy to own it throws an error: "Looks like you already own this" then under that: "PUR-UserAlreadyOwnsContent"

This is 100% an xbox store issue and is very frustrating as it means there is no real way to check what games i own.
