    Can't download 1.16 for free on Xbox One


    I just got an Xbox One Elite yesterday with Minecraft.

    I downloaded Minecraft with my 7 DLC Packs and I noticed it was in 1.13.

    I went to settings and pressed Download The Latest Version of Minecraft For FREE! and it brings me to the Microsoft Store and I have to buy Minecraft AGAIN. help me lol

    I am playing Minecraft windows 10 while my friend is playing on xbox one. While I tried to join his game it said Outdated client. I went to check to see if my game has an update and it does not. My friends game does not have an update either. I
    am on 1.14 and he is on 1.16. So basically we can't play with each other. And I know 1.16 came out on march 16th this year.

    Activated 14 day Gold trial. Didn't realize I couldn't get games with Gold.

    Talked to chat rep, had trial removed, added 1 year subscription. Was able to download 2 free xbox one games. Can't figure out how to download the xbox 360 ones though..

    Hi, you can't download it for free on the Xbox One, if you want to play it on that console, then you will have to purchase it again.

    I am having same issue, my friend has xbox one 1.16 nether update version and i have the nintendo switch 1.14.3 version and it will not let me into realm. The realm acct/world was created on my friend’s xbox one. Is there any solution to this problem?
