cant do multiplayer (windows 10)

Try allowing your account to create & join clubs AND play multiplayer, worked for us with this error.

did you as mentioned in the message, check
http://account.xbox.com/settings

and verify if all settings on there do allow multiplayer and depending on the game allow User created content?

Keep in mind that if your account is a child account then a parental account will need to adjust these settings for your account.

Also be aware that if changes are made it's usually best to sign out and sign back in again before changes will become active.

Is your account set as a child's account? If so you may need to sign into the primary/adult account and change the settings to allow you to play online. I did this for my daughter so she wasn't able to play online when she first started to play on Xbox,
but since then i have changed it and just set it as age restriction games (I would rather my 7 year old not be playing games like Doom Eternal for example)

I do have the same issue, and i cant upgrade to windows 10. I do have to stick with windows 7. But the problem is that i cant login in anyway. So how do we fix it?

different game. i actually do not have any issues running rise of nations extended edition in windows 8.1 or 7 and i can play that multiplayer without issues. the game i do have issues with is rise of nations rise of legends. rise of legends only handles multiplayer when i use windows 7 or older. its requirements is windows xp. i just checked on the box. my problem is not windows 7 based. it is windows 10 based, as the game disconnects when i try running it in multiplayer with windows 10 as host. not the host though, the client.
