Can't create passkey for my home account Error codes 0x80bd0001 and 0x80a40008

I am unable to create a passkey for my main (and only) account. Upon entry of the key, I get a looping circle for 2 cycles and returns with "Something went wrong error code 0x80bd001" and continue, then it gives 0x80a40008 and try again. I was able to make
a guest passkey. Of course, I am using a different key for my account. This problem is not new but has never been solved.

Below are previous submittals. They are a good example of how bad we Ambassadors can be in reading the entire post and making meaningful suggestions for solving a problem. (hanging my head in shame)

I too have tried all of the steps. I also have tried over multiple days when the servers' statuses show no issues. I have a great connection, 50MBs up & down and latency of 39ms. My NAT has an Open connection rating,

To some degree this is a nuisance. I was able to create a workaround by setting my account on Live to require a two-step verification to make purchases from the Microsoft Store. This of course does not help with non-Microsoft Store purchases. I also made it
so my controller does not sign me in. Still seeing that this problem has not ever been resolved I thought best to bring it up and see if anyone has learned how to solve it.

Thanks for coming to the forums. You tried a factory reset, if so which one? If you only tried the one where you keep games and apps, we recommend to try the full factory reset where you delete everything. There could be a corrupt file causing the issues.

@XBF Brad A, thank you for responding. At least you are racking your brain. Yes, I tried a full factory reset. I keep my downloads on a separate drive (so I can use the Xbox for DVR), so it was not too painfull. I did even one better, I tried my housemate's
out of the box one while showing her how to set it up. I even tossed up one of my Home changes to try.

Still, no success or change in response.

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how deal with the problem you're experiencing. I can totally understand how inconvenient this could be. If customer support had closed something that was supposedly escalated, then you would have to get
in contact with them and have this issue reviewed again.

Xbox Insider Program? Is the Microsoft account that you are attempting to set up the passkey on a child account? Which troubleshooting steps have you complete with the support team thus far? Be sure to let us know the results!

My console is not enrolled in the Xbox Insider Program. My account is not a child account. So far, the support team has had me complete the following tasks:

1. Remove and Add my Account to the console

2. Remove and Add all of the accounts on my console (note that other accounts can create a passkey)

3. Restart my modem

4. Reset the console while keeping apps and settings

5. Reset the console removing all apps and settings

I have had to complete those steps twice, after which I was told that my issue would be escalated. I have yet to receive any updates from my inquiry in January nor my inquiry in October. When I replied to the original support ticket email, I got an automated
response that the ticket had been closed, at which time I went through the process again.

Yes, I did. I even chatted with support and they had me do it all over again.
